COMPETITIONS DATES & COSTS  (Money should be turned in to Mr. Friedlander and checks made out to “Chiles High School”).

13 January – Buchholz Regional ($30)

27 January – Chiles Invitational ($0, we are hosting)

10 February – OWC Regional ($30)

23-24 February – Middleton Invitational ($100)

10 March – Chiles Regional ($5)

24 March – UF Invitational ($35)

19-22 April – State Convention ($350)*

*The costs for the State and National will be reduced based on our fundraising.

 
APRIL

12 - Officers’ meeting @ 3:00 p.m. in Mr. Friedlander’s room.

18 – General Meeting @ 3:00 p.m. in the cafeteria (nominations for 2007-2008 officers)

19-22 – FAMAT State Convention in Orlando

25 – Mandatory meeting for all students attending the 2006 National Convention in Mr.

Friedlander’s room from 3:00-4:30 p.m.  Last day to commit to the Nat’l Convention

26 – Elections for 2006-2007 officers @ 3:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.

30 – First day to turn in money for the 2007 MAΘ Awards Night ($7).

MAY

9  -  Last day to turn in money for the National Convention.

11 – Last day to turn in money for Awards Night.

17 – MAΘ Awards Night in the cafeteria from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

2007 TRAVEL ITINERARY

13 January 2007 – Gainesville Buchholz Regional

Depart from Chiles at 5:45 a.m. to Gainesville, arriving at 8:00 a.m.

Depart Buchholz at 4:00 p.m. to Tallahassee, arriving at 6:30 p.m. (stop along the way)

10 February 2007 – Okaloosa Walton College Regional

Depart from Chiles at 5:30 a.m. to Niceville, arriving 8:15 a.m. cst  (breakfast along the

            way)

Depart from OWC at 4:00 p.m. cst to Tallahassee, arriving at 8:15 p.m.

23-24 February 2007 – Tampa Middleton Invitational

23 February – Depart from Chiles at 7:30 a.m. to Tampa, arriving at the Florida Fairgrounds

            at 12:20 p.m.  (breakfast in Gainesville).  Depart fair at 6:00 p.m. for hotel.

24 February – Depart from hotel to school at 8:00 a.m. for the competition.  After the awards

ceremony, depart Middleton High School at 4:00 p.m. for Tallahassee, arriving at 9:00 p.m.  (dinner in Gainesville)

24 March 2007 – UF Invitational at Gainesville Buchholz

Depart from Chiles at 5:45 a.m. to Gainesville, arriving at 8:00 a.m.

Depart Buchholz at 4:00 p.m. to Tallahassee, arriving at 6:30 p.m. (stop along the way)

19-22 April 2007 – State Convention in Orlando

19 April – Depart from Chiles at 4:00 p.m. to Orlando Doubletree Hotel  (rest stop along the

            way).  Bus returns to Tallahassee.

22 April – Depart from the Doubletree Hotel at 6:00 p.m. to Tallahassee, arriving at 11:00
